I’ve been wanting to do this post for a month now and share a final look at how far we had come in our old house from the day we moved in. Mentally I wanted to say goodbye through pictures before I shared anything new. I’m excited to tackle this new house and make it our own, but looking at photos and reliving the experience of our first house together makes it bitter sweet.
Although we had a condo in DC beforehand this felt different. We built a home here in Annapolis, added two cats and a baby to our family in this house, we lived among friends and celebrated countless holidays, and for that it will always have a special place in my heart. So here we go…here is the old house starting from before we even moved in!
As you can see it was very white and very bare. And, yes, that’s me doing a cartwheel of joy in our master bedroom. Four years later and a lot of DIYs and elbow grease here is where we ended up.
Seeing all of these in one place makes me realize how much we accomplished and just how much our style has evolved. It’s definitely changed from the look of some of these rooms and that, my dears, gets me pumped to roll up the sleeves and give it another go!
