Chic Office Storage

It’s been nearly a month since we’ve moved in and I’ve failed you at really showing pictures of the new house. Between a traveling hubby, work, colds and family who got the shingles (yes, I said shingles!) while visiting our house, it has felt a bit like the land of plagues.  Anyone else ever feel that way?  Well, I’m working on clawing myself out and should have photos to share soon.  One picture that I am sharing today isn’t pretty.  In fact, it’s the exact opposite of pretty and sadly it’s the current state of our home office.

Home Office

In our previous home we each had our own home office. This time around we thought it made more sense to share, mainly because this is only half the room which means it’s a large home office and, let’s face it, I’m usually roaming with my laptop. We’ve decided to dedicate some time to getting it organized with the hope that having this space pulled together will make us feel more at home. I’d really like to stick to the one large desk we have since I do work from room to room.  However, that means we need some easy storage for things like bills, magazines and bloggy stuff. Otherwise, we might be eaten alive by our piles and stacks. The existing furniture we have is pretty masculine so I’m thinking I can balance it with more feminine storage options.

Office Storage

Here are some options I’ve found, although I’m starting to lean towards two of the chevron trays. His and Hers of course! What do you think? Anyone else have a solution that you’ve used? I’m all ears!

1. Paper Source Marrakech letter holder.
2. Kate Spade paper weight, just for fun!
3. Patterned magazine files from the Container Store.
4. C. Wonder chevron stripe tray
