Mixed Prints At Home

I always adore the sight of a bedroom chock full of mixed prints. Somehow the combination of multiple patterns brings a feeling of warmth and coziness. It’s something I hope to get better and bolder at! I think a guest room is the perfect place to test the waters with mixed prints and will bring some fun to our guests’ overnight stays.

I’ve recently read several tips on the best way to mix prints and its seems like three patterns are the way to go for starters. Also, choosing a variety of pattern sizes within similar color tones is a nice way to have items like rugs, curtains, bedding and pillows compliment each other. Now I just need to get started! How about you? Any one else a fan of mixed prints around the house?

I looooove that blue/teal bedroom! I’ve always been nervous about mixing prints (so afraid I will mess it up!) but I’m starting to try it more and more. My daughter’s nursery was my first real attempt at mixing prints and I love how it turned out!
