A New Outfit for My New Body

I haven’t really talked about this over here on la blog, but I’ve been majorly struggling with my post baby weight loss. It turns out that I have a thyroid issue which has prevented the pounds from coming off, as well as caused some other unpleasantness. Now that the docs have figured out what the problem is, I’m optimistic that I will finally start seeing the results of all the hours of exercise that I’ve been logging in!

So, when I’m back in fighting shape, I plan on treating myself to something pretty. These Miu Miu peep toes (budget friendly version here) are awfully tempting. You know this girly girl loves her pink! They’re so fabulous in fact, I just had to style an outfit around them. I think they would look perfect with this lace shift dress from Topshop, pink BaubleBar chandeliers and metallic Nine West clutch. Don’t you?

To all of you lovely ladies who have struggled with your weight, may I say, keep up the fight to be healthy and you’re beautiful!

Once you get your thyroid straightened out you will feel SO MUCH BETTER. I’ve been struggling with hypothyroidism for YEARS but now that it’s under control it’s like I’m a new person. We first discovered it when we were trying to have the baby (just one of the things we “discovered”) and so many other things clicked…oh so that’s why I’m so heavy even though I’m so healthy and workout, have dry skin, feel lethargic, etc. Not only will you lose weight but so many other things will change for the better.

Love the ensemble. gives me something to look forward to after number 2 is born this summer. x

my sister in law went through the exact same thing. she was running (A LOOOOT), and could not lose the weight. it was unexplainable and frustrating. she was finally diagnosd with a thyoid issue, and it was such a huge relief. it explained so much, and PLUS- she lost weight, and got her body to a place that she felt good about- on the inside and out. i am sure the same thing will happen to you… now that you have some clear answers.

I am so sorry you are dealing with this! My Dr. said about 30 % of women have thyroid issues after having a baby.

Anyways, this outfit is amazing. Seriously love the shoes and everything about it!
