One Stop Shopping

I was recently reintroduced to one of my all time favorite reality shows, Million Dollar Decorators (thanks Mara!).  I was having some DVR malfunctions and just completely didn’t realize so many of my shows had started up again.  Can you imagine?!  Such problems! Ha!  If you haven’t seen it, it’s basically several high end decorators showcasing fabulous and creative work while getting just a little bit catty.  Good times.  Part of the reason I just love this show is because I am always inspired to look at my surroundings differently.  One recent episode, Jeffery was asked to completely decorate a client’s home using “catalog” or ready made pieces within two months.  It showcased him going to West Elm (gasp!) and in the end a very beachy clean look was accomplished that had me drooling.

I used to actually shop quite a bit at West Elm but it’s been a while since I’ve been in.  So, I was curious if I could love a whole room shopped from their site as much as I loved dear Jeffrey’s.  Here is what I came up with for a more feminine, but still laid back vibe.

So, what do you think?  While it always seems more authentic to lovingly select items over time from a multitude of stores and places you love, is it possible to also achieve the same look for a lot less work?  I’m actually really digging my mocked up “catalog” room and may just have to make a trip to my old stomping ground soon!
