Hello Loves! I am super excited to back with you to share another wedding planning update! We recently attended one of the most important meetings of the wedding planning process. At least to my fiance it was! Ha ha! We had our FOOD TASTING!

I must say our venue really rolled out the red carpet for us! We started with the sample table setting. As a major planner and a girl with an attention to detail, I wanted to see it all together long before the big day. I was beyond pleased with the tablescape once we selected the linens and set up one of our sample centerpieces that I brought with us. A little tip for the brides to be out there – sometimes less is more! I am going for a sleek modern look with a touch of beach and pops of color on the table and around the room. Sorry loves – you are going to have to wait until AFTER the big day for a peek at that!

We were then whisked upstairs to Spinners – a revolving restaurant with a killer view! We’re so excited to be having a beach affair! The view and setting alone are to die for!

The amount of food brought out to us was amazing! There were so many delicious options it was difficult to narrow down our choices! When selecting the menu, we tried to keep different tastes in mind. With the understanding that not everyone likes the same flavors, we chose a good variety of options for our guests. The food you serve is so important. It is part of your thank you to your guests for sharing in your special day. Whether you are doing a champagne and sweets soiree, a beach front pig roast, a formal plated meal with all the trimmings, a brunch buffet, or whatever…try to keep your guests tummies in mind! They will thank you! I promise!

It wouldn’t be a day at the Grand Plaza for me without one of their signature Pina Coladas. I must say – they make the best Pina Colada I have EVER had! I have gotten my sis and Mama hooked on them too! If you are ever in the St. Pete Beach, FL area stop in and get one! You will not be disappointed. You can enjoy it at Spinners (the revolving restaraunt with the amazing view) or Bongo’s (their beach front bar and restaurant with live music).

A special thank you to my fiance, Mama, sis, and of course the Lil’ Lady Bean for all their help! Another big to do has been checked off the list! Time is a tickin’ and I will be a Mrs. before I know it!
