First Fashion

Friday, September 7, 2012

No matter what side of the political fence you’re on, it’s fun to watch the fashion choices of our first lady, especially this week at the DNC.  I personally adored this Tracy Reese dress that was designed just for the occasion (apparently it will be available soon!).

I love the subtle nod to red, white and blue without it being too bright or a harsh tone.  The J. Crew pumps are pretty great too, although I have to say, I wasn’t in love with gel nail color. I think a nice pail pink would have been more demure. What do you think? Are you loving this look as much as I am?  Am I being too picky on that nail color? Let’s dish on this Friday morning!

I think that dress is very pretty. Michelle is definitely one of the most fashionable first ladies we’ve had in a while. I get why people compare her to Jackie Kennedy in that respect. :)

I dug the grey polish…but then again, I have green polish on right now. Haha! : ) K

@The BonBon Rose Girls, I thought it looked blue on my TV. Not grey enough, unless my eyes betrayed me :)

I normally am right there with you on fashion, but I hated this outfit, except the shoes. LOVE those.
I understand she is trying to be fashionable, but I just feel like she’s trying too hard to look to way.

She is such a stunning, beautiful lady, definitely the Jackie O of our generation! I’m so-so on the dress (I’m not a huge fan of the brocade trend) but I do love her shoes and polish.

See, I thought the polish was a periwinkle/purple, but I did notice my eyes going to it a little too much. It wasn’t too garish or anything, but I might have done a pink. But other than that? Flawless. Seriously.

Although I think she looks amazing I was pretty put off by how people bashed her husband’s opponents wife.

I didn’t get to see this dress, but this one takes the gold, with her violet print dress from the final night receiving the silver, and the silver/black lace dress turning up bronze.

As for the grey nail polish I heard about, I think it goes well with the blue/grey/red transition section of the above dress. That’s all I’ve got, really.
