On Saturday, we celebrated my little sister’s engagement with an amazing, DIY loaded, party! The bride to be is a tad bit more crafty than her big sis and the results of her efforts were incredible! Now, why didn’t I inherit those genes? Haha!
The centerpieces consisted of cans that were decorated with ribbon, buttons and scrapbook paper. The flowers were purchased in bulk and arranged by the bride to be on the day of the party.
Lemonade and “Perfect Pair Sangria”…My sister is a whiz with cocktails and agreed to share the recipe she used for the sangria: 2 bottles of Asti sparkling white wine, 1 bottle of Sour Apple Vodka, 2 cans of pear nectar, 1 small bottle of simple syrup, 6 pears and 6 green apples…Does that sound DELISH or what?!?
Super sweet straws…
She created a “kid korner” complete with a chalkboard frame found on Etsy and novelty items that were purchased in the $1 and $2.50 bins at Target (pinwheels, bubbles, cute spring buckets). She finished off the table with some treats like candy and gold fish crackers.
Looks like The Dude enjoyed Auntie’s Kid Korner…Haha!
The happy couple…You know I’m going to have to borrow her White House Black Market maxi!
She sent her guests off with a thank you…
And here’s a sneak peek at the look I rocked for the party. You’ll be able to see even more when my most recent Lifetime Moms post goes up on how to rock prints! In the meantime, here are my accessory details: Curly in the City clutch, Juno & Jove bangles, Banana Republic Mad Men High Ball cocktail ring & Essie’s Peach Daiquiri nail polish
