Sorry to do this, but we have to chat about my home office redo yet again. It’s just been on my mind so much lately. And while I haven’t made the huge strides I was hoping for, I have at least pulled the trigger on a desk from Joss and Main, as well as started the creation of a closet gift wrapping station. Progress is slow but it IS happening lovelies!
Pulling my look together on Pinterest has been really helpful and I think I’ve truly nailed down the vibe I’m going for. Here is one of my main inspiration images (via). I love how it feels fresh and airy with a touch of glamour.
Other images like these have also helped me determine that I definitely want something contemporary. I love the bright pops of color against neutral backgrounds and I now know that I need some sort of additional seating option. Maybe a cushy chair for reading and editing away from the computer?

So, what do you think? Is this a look you would go for or is your style completely different? After I put together that desk and the finishing touches on my gift wrapping station, it’s on to curtains and a rug. Any suggestions? I’m all ears!

I’m in the exact same boat! We’ve been in our house since September and all I’ve done to our office is buy a desk. Love the first pic – clean, fresh and calm but with a touch of fun.

I love contemporary. My dream is to have a house with an office of my own, and I adore the first one you posted. Modern and feminine; I love it.

I am totally with you. I am a modern contemporary kind of girl. I like each room for different reasons. Now is only I can figure out how to get a room all to my self for a home office.
We are actually working on renovating our basement.

Seriously cannot wait for the day I get to design a home office in my house! Love all of these, but especially the last shot. Really love modern mixed with classic and pops of color in an office

I love the elegance of the first look, especially the zebra carpet, yet I also adore the childlike feel, carefree and upbeat look of the second home office photo. Lovely!

LOVE! The top is totally my style too. I did dark grey walls with all white lacquer, recently buying the Jett desk from Z Gallerie (I adored the desk in your pic from West Elm but it just wasn’t big enough for my needs). Can’t wait to see how yours comes together!

I’m in love with the color palette of the 2nd space you listed. The blue houndstooth & burnt orange paired with that oatmeal sofa is so serene & cozy. I love it!

That first office is so great. The clear chest in the background is such a great, unexpected touch.

I should definitely start using Pinterest for home decor ideas! I have a neglected board for it, but you’ve inspired me to start pinning onto it again.

That first picture is a perfect office! I would love mine to look like that, instead of the mess mine currently is! I seriously want the perspex chest! It would be awesome filled with my magazines!

This is SO something I would go for–I love all your inspiration looks! I don’t really have an office–just a little space in our living room, but I think I need to spruce it up a little!

I love the looks you chose here and I can’t wait to see what you ended up doing! I have a pinboard for home offices too. Now all I need is an actual office to decorate and style! My “office” consists of a corner in my bedroom but for now it works:)
