Easy Easter Table Setting

Easter Tablescape

You just know I love going all out with a holiday themed tablescape.  Like in the Fall when I pull out the pine cones and pretend George (as in Clooney) is coming for dinner (watch out Keibler, he’s mine!), or at Christmas when I get all crazy with my centerpieces.  Easter is no exception.  Although for this coming weekend, I wanted to do something that was fun, but didn’t feel to over the top.  Here’s what I came up with for a laid back Easter dinner.

Easter Tablescape

I thought that a Peep bouquet would be a cute way to distribute a little candy to adults and I could see really taking this to the next level with an entire basket and dozens of Peeps.  Maybe next year.  For now, I simply used kabob skewers inserted into the Peep and then placed into the jelly bean filled vase for support.  Is it just me or do they look a little sad?  I think that bottom one knows his days are numbered…

Easter Tablescape

To give an extra little pop to ordinary white candles, I filled the holders around the candles about halfway with bright jelly beans. It took about 30 seconds and added such a festive look to the table.

Easter Tablescape

Finally I placed one of these glitter eggs at each place setting.  I picked up these fun eggs with Kristin during our T.J.Maxx shopping excursion in February and love them!

Easter Tablescape

And that’s all there is to it.  I think this table is perfect for a quiet laid back Easter dinner, don’t you?  Although, with Jake in tow it will probably be anything but quiet!  Anyone else going all out for Easter decorating?  Do tell!

A huge peep bouquet sounds awesome! I’d love to to do that with the chicks. I used to roll eggs in glue and glitter for Easter when I was little.

Simple, adorable, and PEEPS!

I wish I could still eat those things. Sadly, my jaw tends to lock from the amount of sugar and I’m pretty positive they’re not gluten free…but still…those were the days when the Easter bunny brought you a whole pack and you got to eat it!

I love the Peep bouquet and I’m totally stealing it :) Your tablescapes are always great. Sandra Dee could learn a bit about minimalization from you, as hers always look so cluttered.
