My Most Meaningful Moment Last Year

When tasked with coming up with what my most meaningful moment was last year, I had no problem pinpointing an exact moment in time.

I had been feeling off for a few weeks in October, so I decided to pick up a pregnancy test. We hadn’t officially started trying, therefore I wasn’t really expecting to see a positive result…but lo and behold, that little baby showed up positive almost immediately.

I can’t even begin to describe how happy I was! We had always planned on having a second child, as I certainly wanted the dude to have a sibling, but the time just never seemed right to start trying. The hubs was in the middle of an MBA program when we found out and he already had a lot on his plate, as did I. Even though we had so much else going on, however, it was clear the second that I told the hubs that we felt the same way about bringing another bambino into the world! We were overjoyed!

Of course, the moment I knew this was for real, a part of me started hoping that a little lady would be joining our family. First and foremost, I prayed for a healthy baby, but I’m a girly girl and the thought of being able to doll up a baby girl and play Barbies, have tea parties etc. with tickled me to no end!

I have a blast with the dude and if another little guy was on the way, I would love him just as much, but I’m not going to lie…I’ve really been enjoying designing a feminine nursery, as well as picking up tutus, headbands and bows! Oh, did I mention that it IS a girl?

I can’t believe that come June I’m going to be the mama of two kiddos. I don’t know if that part of it has fully sunk in. How am I going to handle two at the same time? I mean look at the Duggars, they have like 19…Surely, I can handle two right? Haha! Only time will tell!

So, there you have it…Finding out that I was expecting this precious little lady bean was definitely my most meaningful moment last year!
