One of the great things about Etsy is that in addition to wonderful handmade accessories and clothing, you can also find amazing original artwork that is affordable. I’m a fan of using unique artwork throughout my house, but in the past I’ve been intimidated by the high ticket prices I see at galleries and festivals. Because of this, we tend to use Floyd’s photography but recently I’ve been trying to balance his photography with other artwork.
I’m just starting to work out how I want to decorate my home office and these illustrations from Lola Donoghue’s Etsy shop caught my eye. I think these prints would be so chic hanging in silver frames and I am drawn to the soft color palette, but strong women they portray. And with each coming in at under $50 it’s art I can afford. So, what do you think, should I go for it?

Those are neat, and you’re right Etsy would be a great place for that. I envy people who can paint canvases for their homes and have amazing art for no kind of money. My friend and her mother took art classes and can do oil paintings, murals that are AMAZING..so they have this incredible art all over their house that others would have paid thousands for.

I love Etsy for that same reason! Have you heard of Leigh Viner? She’s the sweetest blogger ever and has amazing art. AMAZING! She’s all over the place in London, movies, and television shows but she’s still affordable. She’s so sweet that she even sent me a free print of my choosing for being a good blogging friend.

I love art just about as much as i love fashion, but since becoming parents we’ve put a bit of a halt to our art budget, so these are perfect! thanks!

I have to show these to my daughter. She’s kicking around switching to an art major right now and she LOVES one of the drawing classes she’s currently taking. These are right up her alley!
