I guess I should call it the little gender reveal. Haha! The group we invited over to surprise with our big news only consisted of two people…but they are very important people! I wanted to do something special for my mama and sister, so I decorated a bit, attempted my first DIY craft project in years and served some of my favorite cupcakes. I didn’t have time to bake, so picked up some goodies from Gigi’s Cupcakes. Strawberry Shortcake, Cherry Swirl and Wedding Cake cupcakes were on the menu. Mmmmmmmmm!
As many of you have heard by now, come June, a little lady will be joining our family! I may or may not have yelled out loud when the ultrasound technician told us the sex. No joke. As much as I adore my little man, I’ve also been longing for a daughter to dress up. With my luck, she’ll probably be a total tomboy. Haha! But until she starts having an opinion about fashion, I’ll be reveling in decking her out in all the fun baby girl clothes that are tempting me EVERYWHERE. So, if you have Etsy shops, favorite little lady clothing brands etc. to recommend to me…I’m all ears lovelies!
And before I go, I have to tell you how easy it was to make the pink and blue heart banner that I hung in the entrance to our kitchen. I saw the idea here and simply bought a bit of felt and some yarn. I traced a heart shape onto the felt, hole punched the hearts, strung them on the yarn and VOILA, I had my own DIY gender reveal banner. I’m sure this project seems like no big deal to you crafty folks, but for me…it’s HUGE! And it just may have given me the confidence to attempt some more DIYs.
