Why Good Health Became Even More Important to Me

the dude

I can’t believe how teeny tiny my little dude used to be!

I’m over at the Million Moms Challenge site today sharing why becoming a parent made me focus on my health even more than I had before having children became my reality. Here’s a little sneak peek at my post:

Before becoming a parent, good health was definitely a priority for me, but it was more about superficial reasons like wanting to look good in a swimsuit. Sure, I knew that I would have more energy if I worked out regularly. I knew that eating a cleaner diet would result in clearer skin. I knew about the benefits that I would gain from living a healthy lifestyle, but they just didn’t resonate with me then like they did when I knew I was going to become a parent.

By replying to my post over there, you will be entered to win an exclusive Million Moms Challenge Gift Pack, which includes an iPad2, a custom-made Million Moms Challenge pendant and a $50 donation in your name to Global Giving!

After you check out my piece, I hope you’ll take a look at the amazing “Imagine Me & You” contest that the campaign is running! Expectant mamas are asked to submit a baby bump photo with a creative message. America will vote on the photos over at the Million Moms Challenge Facebook page and one lucky winner will receive a free trip to Australia and a private photo session with famed photographer Anne Geddes. As if that weren’t exciting enough, for very vote Disney Baby will donate $1  and up to $50,000 to the Million Moms Fund! You can find more information about the contest here. Come on ladies…Show us those adorable baby bumps!

Disclosure: We were compensated for this post, but the opinions expressed our own own.
