Happy Holiday Decorating

Today, I thought I would share with you one of my favorite parts of decorating for the holidays…our Christmas tree. Our tree holds a special place in my heart because it’s chock full of memories! The hubs and I have tried to commemorate the special moments in our lives with ornaments and nothing delights me more than unwrapping those memories each  year when it comes time to decorate our tree!

I think that our Christmas tree is a happy kind of tree. It’s not something you would see in Southern Living, but it’s a real tree from a real family. Maybe down the road I’ll put up one of those chic, themed trees, but for now…our little family memory tree is something that simply makes the holidays for me!

Here are some of the ornaments that are most special to me…

cardinal ornament

In our family, we all have Cardinals on our trees! It’s a tradition!

The hubs just graduated from the University of Florida with his MBA and I’m a proud alum, so I picked this up to commemorate the happy event!

I brought this home from one of our family vacations in Clayton, GA. My mama and I make it a point to always visit the little mountain Christmas shop there every time we go! Such happy times!

This ornament came from the Magic Kingdom. I went there with my mama and sister when I was expecting the dude and it was so fun to pick out something for my little impending arrival!
