Solid Gold

I’ve always had a soft spot for gold mesh bags. I remember drooling over the Whiting & Davis beauty my mama had when I was a wee one and I’ve never quite let go of the feeling that they’re soooooooo glamorous! Happily, I found this darling vintage number at Misred Outfitters last weekend. It was a mere $14.00. Did I score a deal or what?

If you’re itching to find a gold mesh bag of your own, you could head over to your fave vintage haunt and hunt for one like I did or, if you’re looking for something that requires a little less effort, you could order this similar bag from Endless.

So, what do you think of my new evening bag lovelies? I can’t wait to take it out for a spin!

Update: The winner of our Shopkempt giveaway, chosen randomly via random.org, is Meg from Henning Love!

My grandmother had the most glam little gold mesh bag I’ve ever seen – this post totally reminds me of it. I wonder what ever happened to it…

I LOVE t+j Designs. The girls are the sweetest and their pieces are so pretty and affordable. Love your ring!

  1. [...] There is definitely no need to wait until fall to rock gold! Why not work it into your look now in the form of a fun bag? This Bebe chainmail bag is under $40.00 and would add edge to a casual ensemble or amp up the glam factor in a dressy look! I’m kinda dying over the varied textures. And I happen to have a soft spot for chainmail…Remember my vintage score? [...]
