We all remember how popular fur vests were in 2010 right? I think a certain Ms. Zoe helped with that a wee bit. And the demand for them has not died down yet.
I only managed to score a faux fur trimmed knit vest last year. This year, I’m bound and determined to go for the whole shebang! Remember the fur vest we spotted on Lo Bosworth when we were at the Rebecca Minkoff show? Love!
Here are some faux fur beauties that have made it on to my lust list. Which one would you go for lovelies?
1. BB Dakotta
2. Jenny Han
3. T Los Angeles
4. Rachel Zoe
5. Kensie

Noice! Oh, that Rachel Zoe and her fur vests! I prefer fur accessories like my fur neck-lined wool coat and a fur bag I picked up four years ago. LOVE FALL!

I was *just* thinking about purchasing a vest! I was trying to convince myself of the utilitarian style, but you’ve convinced me…I need a faux fur vest! these are gorgeous!

I am actually looking for a faux fur style jacket. I have my eye on an Alice & Olivia piece that may be a “gift” to myself!

My friend wore a fur vest once to our house and my dogs went nuts. I should get one!

Oh goodie! I got a fur vest last year and never wore it. Glad to know it’s still in style! I’m loving that oversized one.

I am not a big fan of how I look in fur (or faux-fur) vests. However, I do think they look great on other people! And I like the long fur fest with a short dress look, especially. Take care!
[Reply]
I definitely want a fur vest too! you can wear it with so many outfits.
you can also wear it to dress up a simple outfit. plus, it’ll also keep you warm.

Loving No.5!
Last year i bought one the day before heading to Blissdom and wore it to a party one night – it was a hit … and mostly with the Engineering Conference that was going on at the same time … would have been great if i had been single
[Reply]
You should go for it! I’ve seen some cute ones that I love on other people. For me, for some reason they’re not quite right, but I think so many others pull them off awesomely!

I really like the BB Dakota one! I bought one from Zara a few weeks ago and can’t wait for cooler weather to wear it!
[Reply]
Haha, of course I would love the Rachel Zoe one

I love the rachel zoe vest! Last year at Neiman I saw a gorgeous fur vest where they sewed the fur over the leather and created a gorgeous quilted design and the collar and the bottom trim was long raccoon fur…price tag…$2,500. I haven’t been able to forget nor find anything like it…
[Reply]
Not my thing, haha. They do look glam, though!
[Reply]
Whoa I am not loving this at all. Can I say that without making you mad? I’m not always the most fashionable person, so it could be that I’m just not getting it.

Being big chested it can look…tacky LOL
Love your choices!

Love faux fur -all the benefits without the guilt of real fur!
[Reply]
I don’t think I can pull this trend off, but I still love it. #2 is my favorite.
[Reply]
Great examples. I am so glad this trend carried over from last year. I would love to continue wearing my ‘kenar’ brand one my mom found at Marshall’s last year.

The problem with me a faux fur vests is, I only know one way to wear them
with Skinny Jeans and Boots! and with the Baby Bump (and bloooooming thinghs as a consequence) there is no skinny jeans happening anytime soon
Best of Luck with your hunt

Faux Fur vests are a great AW trend. They look great. Love these picks!

I’ve never been keen on any kind of fur….definitely NOT real fur and not faux fur either but, that’s just me and, I’m getting old now so don’t take any notice of me !!!! I think it’s because it seems to make everyone look twice the size that they really are !!
It’s just a matter of taste really and fur just doesn’t rock my boat whatever form it takes.
Sorry to be negative but, we can’t alwaays like the same things can we. ….I’m also not a lover of animal prints either……I think that it’s because I don’t like wearing ‘animals’ although, I do wear leather so, I’m probably talking a load of old rubbish !! haha XXXX

That’s what I love about street style. Soooooooo many different aesthetics. The world would be awfully boring if we all liked the same things! : )

So glad you posted this. I got a faux-fur vest last Christmas as a gift, but have had no idea how to wear it casually or dressed up.

Throw it on over a tee and rock it with skinnies and knee high boots or try pairing a cropped one with this season’s popular bright trousers! I also love them paired with a fun, printed dress!
[Reply]
YEY I’m glad they are sticking around
I bought two last Christmas so I need to wear them again!
