Pop on over to the Million Moms Challenge site to see how I managed to work a healthy diet into a nausea filled pregnancy! And this tried and true tip doesn’t just work for those who are expecting. It’s a great way to work extra veggies into your diet! Here’s a little snippet of what you can expect:

One thing that I did a lot of, even before I got pregnant, was read. As soon as we made the decision to try to start a family, I read every book I could get my hands on relating to pregnancy. Doing everything that I possibly could do to ensure the health of my unborn child was of utmost importance to me!

Unfortunately, what I didn’t find in those books was that I could be sick almost from the moment I found out I was expecting until just a few weeks before I gave birth. I’m not sure why they even call it morning sickness. I know I’m not the only woman who had morning, noon and night sickness. For eight solid months, I was sick to my stomach. And something that’s very difficult to do when you’re nauseous 24/7 is eat healthy. It’s a challenge for sure, but not impossible.

You can read the rest in my Million Moms challenge post! And make sure to check out the Million Moms Challenge Facebook and Twitter pages.

In case you’re wondering what the Million Moms Challenge is…It’s an initiative focused on raising awareness and funds to help women and children everywhere survive pregnancy and subsequently thrive. Here’s to healthy pregnancies and healthy babies!

I’m finally back from a very busy August and September, moving home and studio. The Fall Season Premiere of the blog is up today … drop on by! Happy Autumn!

I made fruit smoothies for breakfast all through my 1st trimester. I need to get back in the habit for healthier eating. :)

What a great cause you are working on. Those smoothies look delish. I read sooo much on pregnancy and babies as well when I was pregnant with my first child.

Ugh… I never had morning sickness but strangely had it in the evening when I was pregnant w/ my son. It’s so great when it finally passes! xo

Ugh. Morning sickness is one of the reasons why I don’t want to get pregnant (amongst many others). On a side note – those smoothies are looking crazy tasty at the moment!
