It’s official. I am in full on nesting mode. Which means that I’ve been nagging and pushing to get projects finished and furniture purchased. One room I really want to focus on is our living room. I love the idea of a peaceful escape that is a no TV zone (you can see the last update here). I’m trying to nudge myself in decor directions that are a little more outside of my comfort zone. I’ve been so focused in recent years on making choices that will last us for the long haul that I’ve been crippled by indecision, as well as a fear of going too bold.
In the above living room collage, I wanted to pull together a look that pairs some timeless basics with unexpected punches, for a look that is still serene yet fun and modern. Eventually, you might change out the accents but surely with that couch and coffee table, the main furniture is there to stay.
What do you think? Is it a mission accomplished? Love it or hate it?
