Hello my dah-lings! It feels so great to be back among you all. Double air kisses to each and every one of you! As Kristin mentioned, I was off with my Mom in Paris for a week celebrating a big milestone birthday of hers (I’ll never tell which one!). I went completely off the grid and didn’t have a blackberry, cell phone or laptop for 8 whole days. Crazy, right?! We had such a wonderful time and I feel so truly blessed to have been able to share such a special time with my Mom. While there are more Parisian posts to come, here is a quick peek at our Frenchie fairytale.
A view of the Eiffel Tower from a top of the Arc de Triomphe . I was so proud of my Mom who climbed up all those steps without a lick of sweat!
Our daily happy hour pit stop often included decadent desserts like this raspberry tart. Don’t worry, we worked if off on all those stairs, ha!
A gorgeous day at Notre Dame.
A pit stop for bellinis and cake at the Ritz for the birthday girl. But of course dahling. Sadly no celeb sightings.
During a day trip to the Champagne region we visited many champagneries. It was a bit chilly among the grapes that day but oh the deliciousness! After seeing how hard the work is, I have a new found respect for the art of making champagne and will truly cherish every drop!
Ok, one of the main reasons I love this city. Just look at those desserts! And no one looks at you funny when you buy one and eat it on the spot. Fist pump!
Apparently we the French drink SOOO much wine that the recycle bin was overflowing with what were sure to be all happy memories.
One of my favorite places in all of Paris is the Rodin Museum. Here I am proudly showing off the gardens, but more to come on the beautiful sculpture later in the week.
What could be more blissful than a pot of hot chocolate and a plate of macaroons from Angelina’s?!
A view of this magnificent city from atop the Eiffel Tower. Le sigh….

What a beautiful vacation and you and your mom are so pretty! I’d love to be sitting right at that street café nibbling on that raspberry tart. It looks so good. If I went to France, I would have to visit the champagne region. It would be so interesting to learn about the art of making bubbly.
The view from the top of the Eiffel Tower is gorgeous.

Oh my GOODNESS! I need to be there. Right now. Gorgeous photos!!
[Reply]
Oh my! Paris itself must be magnificent, but to go with your mom would be the ultimate girl’s trip. How fun! So glad you’ve shared with us. I’d love to visit the champagne region as well, it would probably be a nice refreshing bit of quietude from the city. And of course, macarons! I’ve been after those little things for years and now they’ve started becoming more popular in the States but I’m always wondering if our versions will be quite the same as a real French Macaron. I guess I’ll just have to go to Paris and try them for myself?
[Reply]
le sigh indeed! looks like you had an amazing trip! i cannot wait to go back to paris
