If you’ve been reading BonBon Rose Girls for a while, you know that I’m completely accessories driven. They really are such an easy way to give a look that little extra something it needs to go from ho hum to outstanding! One of my favorite accessories is a colorful scarf. It’s especially useful for when I’m luggin’ around the dude and don’t want to risk his grabby little toddler paws yankin’ off one of my beloved statement necklaces! Despite much effort, he has not been able to wreck one of my scarves.
I’m such a scarf addict that my collection of them has risen to quite a large and in charge status. It even includes a slew of pretties that I rescued from my mama before she handed them off to Goodwill. It still floors me that she was just going to cast them aside before offering them to her fashion obsessed daughter. The nerve of her! HA!

Last winter, when I stilled lived in NYC, I wore the silk scarfs that I purchased in Thailand almost everyday. I agree, a scarf is the perfect way to dress up an outfit!

I think i’m in danger of running out of places to put scarfs. My collection has grown from modest to absurd. Even the tiny vintage silk square scarfs that I never thought I could wear have worked their way in.
But my favorites are the huge pashminas that could practically double as blankets.
