Quick and easy. Now that’s my kind of DIY project! A few weeks ago when I was in New York City, I was staying near Bryant Park and this shop sign across the street caught my eye. It read M&J Trimming and was huge. I of course had to stop in and was immediately stumbling around open mouthed just gaping. Before me was every type of ribbon you could imagine! Row upon row filled to the brim with spools of gorgeous ribbon, buttons, sequins, feathers….clearly I was hooked! New Yorkers I am so jealous that you have this store at your fingertips!
These rosettes caught my eye and 1/2 yard (5 rosettes) made it into my basket along with some pin backs, both totaled about $8. This weekend I finally got around to making them by cutting them apart and super gluing the pin to the back. It was seriously that easy. I’m planning on pinning one to my fall cardi, black winter coat and even a canvas tote for a little flirtatious fun! So what do you think, is this a DIY project you can handle?

I absolutely adore M&J Trimmings! I found this story 9 years ago when i was not yet a NYer and they were in this tiny little crammed shop! This place is fabulous for anything from halloween costumes, i got my ribbon for my wedding from there, countless DIY projects & etc…it’s just dangerous to walk down 6th ave & know that if i pass…i will stop & buy. lol

VERY cute for a pin and I would love to grab some rosettes like that to make into a hair accessory! And they have an online store…SCORE!
