TGIF…Am I right? I’ve got an icky cold, so I’m quite ready to hand off my baby boy to the hubs while I snuggle under the covers. An up note of being sick is that I can catch up on my blog reading, which I’m pitifully behind in! And one of my favorite reads just happens to be the blog we’re featuring today.
We have an “everything but the kitchen sink” category in our Rosebud Network for blogs just like our Freshly Picked Rosebud! I never know if I’m going to see a fabulous DIY, a fetching frock or a delicious dish at the beautiful blog Journey Chic. What I do know is that I’m always gonna love what I find! I know you lovelies are going to adore it too! And the gorgeous gal behind it is a new mama, so be sure to congratulate her on her bouncing baby boy!
Before you pop on over to visit our featured blog, I have to give a quick shout out to two exciting Kickstarter projects! Wendy Brandes and Stacy Lomman are two fabulously fashionable friends who both happen to be incredibly talented. You might have seen my previous post about how Stacy is working to get her Spring 2011 collection to the runway
and Wendy is looking to make her fanfreakingtastic designs more affordable by producing overseas which entails ordering a certain amount from the factory, which in turn takes moolah. You get the chance to be a part of something amazing by contributing to either or, hopefully, both of these projects. While they’ve reached their fundraising goals, there are still expenses to be taken care of. As you can imagine, the expense that goes into putting on a fashion show is extraordinary and Wendy wants to decorate as many fingers as she can before her funding period ends! Ok, I’m off to down some OJ. My mama still calls me when I’m sick to make sure that I’m getting enough vitamin C. HA!
