Well, I wrote a super long comment, and accidentally forgot to hit “Submit” before closing that screen. So frustrating!!

Anyway, I just found your blog, and it’s so cool!! What a fun place, and what a generous, awesome giveaway, or I should say, GIVEAWAYS, you’re having!!!

So, I decided rather than making a huge list of everything I did to enter your giveaway, I would try to be a little creative…you know, try to make it more fun for you as you read everyone’s comments. I hope this is okay. What I did to make it easy for you to see how many entries to give me is put each thing I did in all caps. That way it would stand out for you but wouldn’t disrupt the flow of the story. I counted seventeen entries, but please double-check my counting.

Here goes! I hope you like it!

STORY:

I stifled a yawn as I glanced at the clock on my dashboard. It was really, really early in California, about 3:00 in the morning, to be exact. My eyes were blurry as I had been driving on the Internet for most of the night, but suddenly I spotted something that perked me right up. It was an advertisement for a week-long treasure hunt (Giveaway), and the treasure was pretty amazing!! “What FUN!!” I thought to myself, suddenly feeling wide awake.

I pulled over to the side of the road so I could read the requirements to enter this awesome treasure hunt, as well as pick up a map. In order to have the best chance at winning some of the coveted treasure I knew I couldn’t afford to get lost, especially since it was already day three of the week long treasure hunt.

Before I could leave, I needed to let others know where I was going to be, but there was a problem. I couldn’t call my friends and family due to the early morning hour, and I wasn’t going to be in just one place either. I decided the best thing to do would be to leave them a note in the form of a BUTTON ON MY BLOG, BUTTERFLY WHISPERS (http://michele-butterflywhispers.blogspot.com). With that taken care of I was ready for the adventures that lie ahead!!

After driving for about six hours straight and making great headway, I had no choice but to answer the call of Mother Nature. I STOPPED AT A STORE CALLED ANNECHOVIE and asked to use their restroom. The vendor, Anne, was very kind, and as she led the way to the restroom, I couldn’t help but notice all the colorful art she had for sale. I ABSOLUTELY FELL IN LOVE WITH THE 11X14 PRINT ON CANVAS CALLED, “ENGLISH ROSES ON AQUA” (http://www.etsy.com/listing/45089184/english-roses-on-aqua-print-on-canvas). I didn’t have the time or the money to purchase it, but I hoped there would be something like it in the treasure, if I were lucky enough to win any of it.

It had only been about two hours since my last stop when my stomach had a very clear message for me, “Eat, or else!!!” I pulled off at the next exit and entered the first fast food joint I came to. As I hoofed it back to my car, greasy bag in hand, I couldn’t help but notice the store next to the fast food place. It was called LADYEE BOUTIQUE, AND I SAW A FLORAL WRAP DRESS (http://ladyeeboutique.com/floralwrapdress-p-205.html) displayed in the window that was just too cute for words. But alas, this was no time to shop. I had a treasure hunt to get back to!!

Well, I guess the soda I drank earlier with breakfast (or was it lunch?) was a bad idea because before I knew it, Mother Nature was calling yet again! Didn’t she know I had a treasure to find??!!

I MADE A QUICK STOP AT A JEWELRY STORE CALLED CHELSEA GWYNNE, and as I made my way to the restroom, I spotted a few pieces that I would’ve loved to own. ONE IN PARTICULAR CAUGHT MY EYE, THE WINNER’S CIRCLE BRACELET (http://www.chelsea-gwynne.com/2010/06/winners-circle-bracelet.html), but no money meant no jewelry. Grabbing a business card on my way out the door, I waved goodbye to Chelsea and hurried to my car.

After a few hours and continuing to make great progress, I found myself FOLLOWING BONBON ROSE GIRLS THROUGH THE GOOGLE FRIEND CONNECT TUNNEL. Later, when we all ended up at the same rest stop, they were so sweet that I decided to SUBSCRIBE TO THEIR BLOG in order to keep in touch after the treasure hunt was over. Then I was back on the road again.

I had been driving for three hours straight, and I really needed to get out and stretch my legs for a bit, so I pulled into the next town. After chatting with some lovely people at a coffee shop called TWITTER, I TWEETED ABOUT THE TREASURE HUNT SO THEIR FRIENDS COULD GET IN ON THE ACTION AS WELL, IF THEY CHOSE TO ((http://twitter.com/Luvkitty/status/18584513968).

I CAUGHT UP TO THE BONBON ROSE GIRLS AND HAD BEEN FOLLOWING THEM ON THE FACEBOOK EXPRESSWAY for several hours when I lost track of them again. As my peepers pooped out and started to droop I decided that I’d better call it a night. I put on my signal to exit the freeway, and as I made my way down the road to TWITTER Inn where I planned to get some shut-eye, I noticed I WAS FOLLOWING BONBON ROSE GIRLS again!! We waved goodnight as we headed off to our rooms for some much needed snooze time.

Tomorrow would be another day on the week long treasure hunt, and I couldn‘t wait! So far, it had been a fabulous experience!! I met lots of wonderful people, made some new friends, and found a few great stores that my credit card was itching to visit (Really!! It’s my credit card, NOT me!!).
