Draped Delights

Who remembers Rami and his fondness for draped pieces in season 4 of Project Runway? I know he didn’t veer very far away from gorgeous flowing gowns, but just like with Austin Scarlett and his penchant for evening wear, I didn’t fault him for it. I too am a sucker for a supremely draped garment. What captures our feminine charms more than an article of clothing that gently caresses our curves?

Sorry, I went all Victoria’s Secret on you guys for a moment. Seriously though, the Greeks knew what they were doing when they draped those togas. It’s a ridiculously flattering look when done right. And in most cases the folds create all kinds of nooks and crannies that can serve to hide all sorts of little nasties that might have gotten on Mommy while she was kissing her bambino goodbye, as he was eating his dinner which just so happened to be macaroni and cheese. What? Am I the only one that’s happened to? Ah ha. Below are some draped yummies that I wouldn’t mind having in my wardrobe, just waiting to be worn when the hubs whisks me off for a fancy schmancy date night. You hear that babe? Whisk away.

p.s. Is it already getting nippy in your neck of the woods you lucky jerk, er I mean lady? No problem. Throw on a blazer and a pair of tights over any one of the above and you’ll still be a Grecian goddess, albeit a warm one. I have one exception however. I would gladly freeze my tush off rather than cover up that little Single number.
